Today’s Menu: Skillet Ultimate Cheeseburger (Turkey) Mac One Pan Dinner w/ Baked Garlic Loaf Bread

 

For Breakfast on this very hot and humid Sunday Morning I prepared some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, Heated up some Meijer Diced Ham, fried an Egg Sunnyside Up, made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I made a bed of the Hashbrowns in a bowl and sprinkled some Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Next I put the Diced Ham over top the Hash Browns then put the Sunnyside Up Egg on to top it off. I love combinations of Potatoes and Ham , especially for Breakfast! 98 degrees, HUMID, and a heat index of 105 out today. Even worse than yesterday. Went to Kroger for Mom after I ate and stopped by McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for her. Mom went on to Church after she ate. I got the leaf blower out and cleaned off the deck and driveway areas. Then got out the hedge clippers and trimmed some vines and a couple of bushes. Started getting way too hot I headed in for the day. Did some laundry and cleaned the house. For Dinner tonight its a Skillet Ultimate Cheeseburger (Turkey) Mac One Pan Dinner w/ Baked Garlic Loaf Bread.

 

I used Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Dinner Kit/Ultimate Cheeseburger Mac. The dinner kit includes: Pasta, Velveeta Cheese Sauce, and Seasoning pack. All I had to do was add the 2 cups of water and 1 lb. of Ground Turkey. I used Jennie – O Extra Lean Ground Turkey. Using the Extra Lean Ground Turkey Breast instead of the Ground Beef you can lower the calorie count by anywhere from 60 – 80 calories! As I browned the Turkey I added Sea Salt, Pepper, and Ground Smoked Cumin for seasoning. It’s ready in about 10 minutes. I then add 2 cups of water, the Seasoning Packet and Pasta. Simmer for 11 – 13 minutes and add the Velveeta Cheese and your ready for dinner. I’ll leave the instructions at the end of the post. It’s 370 calories and 26 carbs but you can lower the calorie count by using the Ground Turkey as I did!

 

This always comes out so good, a real Comfort Food! The Velveeta Cheese along with the Pasta and Jennie- O Extra Lean Ground Turkey Breast are perfect together! And it’s Parent Approved, my Mom loved it! I also baked a loaf of RiverRoad Bake House Multi Grain Oval Loaf Bread. This has become the family’s favorite Baked Bread. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Trop -A – Rocka Diet Snapple.

Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Ultimate Cheeseburger

Ingredients:
* 1 LB. Ground Beef or Ground Turkey (Extra Lean)
* Sea Salt, Pepper, Cilantro, Ground Smoked Cumin to taste; Optional
* 2 Cups Water
* 1 Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Dinner Kit/Ultimate Cheeseburger Mac

Instructions:
* Brown and season 1 LB. Ground Turkey in large skillet. Drain
* Add 2 cups water, seasoning and pasta. Bring to a boil. Reduce Heat.
* Cover, Simmer and stir often until most of water is gone about 11-13 minutes. Remove from heat.
* Add Cheese from Velveeta Cheese Pouch. Stir in Cheese Sauce and serve
